Craps indeed seems to be a mix of complicated bets

Craps indeed seems to be a mix of complicated bets; however, it is not really hard to play this game once you take that little time to understand the numbers that are applicable for each of the bet types.

Just look closely in to the craps table layout and the different boxes will be marked by different names. You got to simply understand those different bets mentioned there and that marks the beginning of your attempts to get to know to play craps.

If you are a craps player you got to know what a pass line bet is all about.

• The pass line bet is one of the easiest bets and the interesting thing is that this bet has a very low house edge. This bet is to be made before the come out roll.

• Don’t pass line bet is won if the come out roll is going to be a 2 or 3; however, this bet will loose if a 7 or 11 will be rolled. In cases where a 12 is rolled then the bet made will go for a tie.

• The come bet can be made when the game is in progress. Numbers 7 or 11 are a natural and the come bet will win. In cases where the number 2, 3, or 12 is rolled the bet will be lost.

• To win don’t come bet the shooter must be rolling 2 or 3 in the first roll. This bet can also be made in the middle of the game. Number 12 causes a tie and number 7 or 11 leads to a loss of bet. The rest of the numbers become a point.

• Odds bet can be made only if you have already bet on a pass line, don’t pass, come or don’t come bets. When you are making this bet this will be three or two fold more in value than the original wager and not more.

Please note: Pass line is opposite to don’t pass line; come bet is opposite to don’t come bets; odds bet can be made only if you have placed any one of the above bets already. This is an additional bet.

• Place bets are made on a specific number as 4 or 5 or 6 or 8 or 9 or 10 coming up.
• Buy bet refers to betting on the coming of a number 4 or 5 or 6 or 8 or 9 or 10 before a 7 is rolled. If a 7 comes before, then the player loses.
• Lay bet is the reverse of buy bet and you got to roll 7 before you roll 4 or 5 or 6 or 8 or 9 or 10.
• Field bets are single roll bets and you can place these bets any time you like. Any number other than 2, or 3, or 4, or 9, or 10, or 11, or 12 will lose.

There are other bets in craps like the big 6 and big 8, hard way bets, any craps, and any 7 bets. Horn eleven and horn three bets and horn 12 and horn 2 bets can also be considered. However, the bets mentioned later are a bit risky to be dealing with most of the time; you got to have a properly routed bankroll to play with such bets.
